Saturday’s GAA county club results

Moyle Rovers defeated Galtee in the battle of the Rovers last night at Ardfinnan in the county senior football championship.

The south side went in 2-5 to 1-2 ahead at the break and pushed on in the second half running out comprehensive 3-13 to 1-3 winners.

Speaking to Tipp FM Sport at the full time whistle manager Niall Fitzgerald was pleased with his side’s performance.

In the second Group 2 match, at Pairc Ciocaim Dundrum, Arravale Rovers got the better of Upperchurch-Drombane, the final score there 4-9 to 2-8.

Then, in Group Three, Ballyporeen saw off the Killenaule challenge in Cahir, finishing on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-11.

There were four matches across Groups one, two and four in the County Intermediate Football Championship.

Firstly, in Group one, Clonmel Commercials held off Fethard in Monroe, that match finishing 3-13 to 3-8 in favour of Commercials.

In the second Group one match, in Ned Hall Park, Father Sheehy’s were convincingly beaten by Grangemockler Ballyneale, 2-15 to 0-8 the final score.

Group three action was played out at The Ragg where Borrisokane overcame Clonoulty/Rossmore on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-8.

The last match of the evening played out in Group four, at Pairc Ciocaim in Dundrum, Rockwell Rovers losing to Golden-Kilfeacle 2-10 to 0-10.

In the North Tipp Senior Hurling semi-final replay, Kiladangan advanced to the final, beating Nenagh Eire Óg 3-18 to 4-10.

In the Mid Tipp Minor A Hurling final, Holycross/Ballycahill lost out to Moycarkey-Borris 2-21 to 1-8, the final score.

In the Mid Tipp Minor B Hurling championship final, Drom Inch proved too much for Gortnahoe Glengoole, the final score there 4-19 to a meagre 9 points.
