Quinlivan out of qualifier

Michael Quinlivan is out of Tipperary’s All Ireland senior football championship qualifier against Cavan.

According to the 42.ie Tipp coach and selector Shane Stapleton has confirmed the All Star forward won’t have recovered in time from the ankle ligament injury he sustained in the Munster semi-final defeat to Cork.

Corner back Shane O’Connell is also unavailable after he picked up a stress fracture in his foot in the same game.

However in more positive news midfielder Jack Kennedy is back in training.

Tipp’s Round 2B qualifier clash with Cavan will be played at Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday week.

Meanwhile there’s also bad news for Kerry ahead of Sunday’s Munster football final against Cork.

It’s reported by the Irish Examiner that Jack Savage has been ruled out after surgery to remove his appendix.
