On Friday morning the Tipperary Tandem duo of Peter Ryan and Sean Hahessy were on the final stretch of their Race Around Ireland
They’re aiming to become the first tandem to complete the Race Around Ireland – a 2,150 kilometre ultra-cycling event which is ranked among the toughest endurance events in the world.

Peter, from Drombane and Carrick on Suir man Sean left Meath on Sunday and have been as far north as Malin Head and as far south as Mizen Head on their trek, getting just a couple of hours sleep each day.
