University Hospital Limerick, which serves North Tipp, continues to be among the busiest hospitals in the country.
Today there are 46 patients on trolleys at the Dooradoyle facility – making it the most overcrowded.
University Hospital Waterford is next, with 31 patients being cared for on trolleys, followed by Cork University Hospital with 30.

There are 19 patients without a bed at South Tipp General in Clonmel.
Nationally there are 372 people in need of a bed – an increase of 26% on the same day last year when there were 295 patients on trolleys.
