The recipients of the 2016 Tipperary International Peace Prize still hold out hope of a resolution to the Syrian conflict.
The Syrian Civil Defence was presented with the award at a ceremony in Ballykisteen Hotel yesterday to honour their work in the conflict.
The White Helmets have saved more than 100,000 people in war torn Syria – 200 of their own members have lost their lives in the process.

Nedal Izdden says the people of Syria continue to suffer but is hopeful that a resolution can be found.
