A new report show over a quarter of farmers aren’t taking basic safety precautions, according to a new study.
The study compiled by the ESRI on behalf of the Health and Safety Authority shows 26 per cent of farmers don’t wear standard safety gear like high-vis vests or ear defenders while working.
27 per cent take risks by going ahead with risk jobs on the farm, rather than calling in help from others.
