John Halligan has moved to defend Leo Varadkar in the Fine Gael leadership race – saying his comments on the Labour Court have been taken out of context.
On Monday Minister Varadkar announced he’d make Labour Court recommendations binding on employers and workers in “essential services”.

Minister Halligan says though workers only strike as a last resort.
