Tipperary County Council is being praised for the efforts its making to increase the number of housing estates its taking in charge.
The local authority has appointed a dedicated officer to tackle the backlog with Councillors welcoming the progress being made.
Councillor Michael Smith says having the local authority taking charge of developments makes a huge difference for residents.
