Tipp Today Monday September 4th 2017

In Hour One of this mornings Tipp Today, Fran and Trudy spoke to a number of people at Nenagh’s Banba Square for the moving event where dozens of balloons are released into the air as remembrance for loved ones lost to suicide.We also spoke to Cora Sherlock from the Pro Life Group for the 34th Anniversary of the 8th Amendment and we also spoke to Jackie Cahill for the sports review of the weekend.

In Hour Two of this mornings Tipp Today, we spoke to Sean Martin, Regional Postmasters Representative, on the topic of Tipperary Postmasters who are hoping to secure the future of their post offices with the introduction of Current Accounts for their members. We also discussed with Conor Horgan of IBAL on the marked improvement in the latest standing of the IBAL Litter League in Clonmel. Adele Hunter, a parent who is involved with and been helped by the charity Cliona’s Foundation, also spoke with us talking about the charity and how it provides assistance for families with life limiting conditions or complex needs.

In Hour Three of this mornings Tipp Today, we spoke about the campaign for the Abortion of Cruel Sports where new documents were released to the organisation under Freedom of Information reveal that hares have been killed and maimed at several meetings nationwide along with an “unusually high” number of hares killed at an event in Tipperary. We also spoke with President of SVP, Clonmel man Kieran Stafford, over the information showing that over 5000 families seeking help from the charity for back to school assistance. We also spoke with Director of Planning with Tipp County Council Marcus O’Conner about the 17 million euro Eriva gas,water and wastewater project nearing completion in Nenagh.
