Council urged to buy bigger houses

Tipperary County Council is being urged to purchase more four and five bedroom homes as part of its overall social housing plan.

As well as building new stock the local authority is leasing homes, acquiring properties and turnkey projects and in 2018 exceeded its target by 182 percent.

This has been broadly welcomed by local authority members but FF’s Seamus Hanafin is urging the council to look at buying larger builds.
