The Tipperary cycling community is mourning the loss a former Rás stage winner.
Joe Lonergan from Ardfinnan passed away this week after a lengthy illness.
Joe the Yank as he was known won a 135 mile stage of the 1961 Rás into Castleisland beating the legendary Shay O’Hanlon.
