Plans for a new nursing home in Clonmel have been delayed.
A planning application for outline permission was lodged with Tipperary County Council last April.
The proposals from Richard Norris are for a nursing home on a site at Glenconnor in Clonmel.
It would have a maximum of 130 bedrooms with 45 nurses and 14 general staff.
The original application for outline permission was lodged on April 6th – the planning authority sought further information towards the end of May in relation to the need to widen the roadway & footpaths while there were also questions regarding drainage on the site.
This information was submitted to the County Council in June – however further clarification is now being sought from the developer.
Once this is furnished planners will make a decision within four weeks.
The Glenconnor site forms part of a much larger one on which proposals for nearly 600 homes were refused in Tipperary County Council in 2007.
