On Tipp Today Fran was joined by award winning chef Dermot Gannon to chat about a new cookery programme starting at the School of Food in Thomastown.
It comes as restaurants nationwide are experiencing major difficulties in recruiting new commis chef/kitchenstaff and this course gives people the opportunity to learn to cook, without having to go through 4 year college degree course with the option of working in a business close to home.
