It is a busy start to the week for front-line staff in hospitals serving Tipperary.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 50 patients without a bed today between University Hospital Limerick and South Tipp General.
The Limerick Hospital – which covers North Tipp, Limerick and Clare – has 34 patients without a bed today making it the most overcrowded in the country.

In Clonmel, there are 16 patients being cared for on trolleys around the Emergency Department or in overflow areas of wards.
Nationally, there are 361 patients without a bed according to the nursing union.
