There’s been a broad welcome for a new 17 bed short stay medical ward at University Hospital Limerick.
The new unit is located in a refurbished area of the old Emergency Department at UHL which closed to the public last May.
It will be open 24 hours a date, 7 days a week.

Tipperary Labour TD Alan Kelly says it’s a very welcome addition to the hospital which serves North Tipp, Limerick and Clare.
