Rain delays US Open

Defending champion Angelique Kerber has crashed out of the Women’s Singles.

The German was beaten in straight sets by 19 year old Naomi Osaka of Japan.
Maria Sharapova is due back in action today.

The Russian faces the world number 59 Timea Babos.
