This year’s Tipperary International Peace Award for the White Helmets is meeting some opposition.
The Syria Civil Defence group is being recognised for the ‘bravery and courage’ show by their volunteers in trying to save the lives of ordinary people caught up in their country’s civil war.
Members are due to recieve their award next Month in a ceremony at the BallyKisteen Hotel.
