The Tipperary Ladies Footballers needed extra time to see off a Wexford side who fought to the death in the All Ireland Intermediate Quarter Final yesterday.
The Premier dominated the first half of normal time- going into half time 6 points up on a scoreline of 6 points to 1-9.
However, Wexford rallied in the second half and it went level 2-9 to 1-12 on 58 minutes, thanks to a last minute goal for the Yellowbellies by Chantelle Martin, leading to extra time.
Tipp were in the driving seat in the first half of extra time – where they went 4 points up and kept Wexford scoreless.
But again Wexford fought back, and it finished up with just a point to spare for Tipperary, 2-15 to 3-11.
